Understanding the Order of Operations
To solve this equation correctly, we must follow the standard rules of math.
In mathematics, we use a special order of operations called PEMDAS or BODMAS.
This rule tells us which calculation we should do first, second, and last.
The letters stand for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction.
Multiplication and division have higher priority than addition and subtraction.
When we have both multiplication and division, we simply solve them from left to right.
